Rights Respecting School Award

We are very happy that St Cuthbert’s have already been awarded Level One Rights Respecting School Award. We are currently working towards achieving the Level 2 Award.

‘A rights-respecting school is a community where children’s rights are learned, taught, practised, respected, protected and promoted. Young people and the school community learn about children’s rights by putting them into practice every day.’

We have put this convention at the heart of our school’s culture and ethos.  This helps us to improve well-being and to develop every child’s talents and abilities to their fullest potential, equipping pupils to become Rights Respecting global citizens.

Everyone at St Cuthbert’s actively promotes the rights of our children and we expect all pupils to take their responsibilities very seriously.
