Y2 2020

Captain James Cook Museum

Year 2 had an exclusive tour of the museum, all to ourselves.  We found out lots of interesting facts about Captain James Cook and his voyages. The children took part in a rotation of fun activities including aboriginal painting, an under water virtual reality experience, quill writing, dressing up and drawing real artifacts.  What an amazing day!

Marbelling Pictures

The children used bright, bold colours and a tray of water to produce some beautiful art work.

Hardwick Park

As part of our topic ‘Wriggle and Crawl’, we went on an educational visit to Hardwick Park.  We went on a nature trail and found out lots of information about habitats.

St. Cuthbert’s Church

The children learnt all about Baptism at our church.  The children were very reverent.

Library Visit

At the library, we had a grand tour! The children learnt how to loan and return a book using the machine and then Mike read us lots of exciting stories.

Preston Hall Museum

This year the children have learnt about life as a Victorian child.  They had the chance to experience this for themselves at Preston Hall. They had lots of fun!

Muck, Mess and Mixtures

The children really enjoyed their introduction to their topic Muck, Mess and Mixtures!  They had fun mixing different products such as shaving foam, flour and jelly!

KS1 Nativity

All of our children played an important role in our Nativity.  Some were actors and some were our choir.  It was a magnificent performance by all.
