Y6 2020
Carlton Outdoor Education Centre 2020
Year 6 enjoyed an overnight residential to Carlton Outdoor Education Centre, where they took part in a range of activities including zip wire, night walk, bushcraft, challenge course and climbing. We worked amazingly well as a team and had an incredibly fun time!
Dragon’s Den
As part of our Frozen Kingdom topic, Year 6 designed jackets suitable for polar climates. In science, they tested materials to find the best insulators. They then produced a persuasive pitch which they successfully used to market them to our very own Dragon’s (Mrs Dodsworth and Mrs Dowson).
Iceberg Investigation
Year 6 investigated icebergs as part of their Frozen Kingdom studies. They looked at what happens to ice beneath the surface of the water.Â
Inuit Art
Year 6 created prints of birds, in the style of Inuit artists, as part of their Frozen Kingdom studies.Â
Remembrance 2019
Year 6 respectfully attended the Garden of Remembrance Service, where they prayed and showed their respects to those who have served their country. They also delivered a Remembrance Service in school for staff, pupils and parents.Â
Skateboarding Workshop
Healthy Cooking Family Workshop

Science – Making Blood
As part of our Blood Heart topic, Year 6 investigated blood. They made their very own specimen samples!
