An End Of Year Poem For Year 2

Shining stars are what you are

Illuminate the sky

And after all you’ve learned this year

It’s not surprising why

Reading, writing, science, maths

‘Muck, Mess and Mixtures’ too

SPAG and spelling and so much more

Will always follow you

Let laughter, love and friendship

And happy memories made

Find a way onto your face

On any rainy day

And if you ever lose your way

Just cast your eyes above

As shining stars are what you are

And forever you will stay

Thank you for a wonderful year, keep it up you shining stars!

Worship/RE

Creative Topic- Music

Today you can listen to and join in with sea shanties and traditional songs sung by or about sailors. Shanties are work songs that were used on the square rigged ships during the Age of Sail. Their rhythms coordinated the efforts of many sailors hauling on lines. You can act out these actions as you sing and send the video using www.wetransfer.com

Email them to me at cpy2@sbcschools.org.uk
